Top-Not Gift Cards

Happy Wednesday, I loved making these cards. Aren't these snowmen cute? They are all dressed up ready to party. Card #1 is on the left. I thought maybe I had used too many circle punches for his face. On my table was the small heart punch. So I used it for the nose. Much better. Then I glittered the flowers on his head band. Next instead of a silver brad for the top swivel opening, I used a rhinestone brad. Getting better. Did I tell you these are gift card holders? These are gift card holders. I had so much fun I decided to make more. I made a mistake and turned it into a card. With a pocket inside it can still be used for a gift card. So that's how these three projects came about. Another fun day in my craft room. I may not be back for a few days due to family arriving for Christmas week but if I can, I will. Have a blessed rest of the week and enjoy celebrating the reason for the season. Merry Christmas.

Panguin Punch Art

Happy Monday morning friends. How do you like my penguin punch art? I had fun creating them. My first card is on the left. Besides the punch art on the penguin, I also did some paper tearing for the snow. I smudged the snow with a touch of gray ink just because, lol. I used the snowflake punch and a white gel pen for more snow in the sky.
For my next card, I wanted to create two penguins as I thought one would be lonely. I glittered the snow and placed snowballs at the feet of the penguins. Just imagine them kicking snowballs at each other. I used the retired trio flower punch to make the snowballs. Why flowers? I wanted something different and cute. Lol. As for the drippy snow in the sky, that was not planned. Let's say the day was warming up. Yes, I'm feeling silly. Do you ever get silly? By the way, I do appreciate comments. Thank you for visiting and come back again. God bless.

Candy Gift

Hello friends, today I'm showing the other part of the gift I received from my new friend Rose. As you can see she used that Candy Cane paper I was coveting to wrap those chocolates. She made the box and the topper too. Are you convinced how talented she is yet? My dilemma now is do I unwrap that pretty paper and risk tearing it? I do love chocolate.

Serene Snowflake

Hello friends, are you still shopping? I love Christmas. It's Jesus birthday. We are having a birthday cake again this year and will be singing Happy birthday to Jesus. Do you have Christmas traditions? This is the week we all go out to see the lights. If it isn't too cold, we park the SUV and stroll the neighborhood. I hope we go tonight. Oh you want to know about the cards. Well, the one on the left was my first try. I wanted to use two different colored ribbons but was not happy with the end result.
So the middle card is try #2. I added the focus snowflake and layered it on Bashful Blue and Perfect Plum card stock. I felt it still needed something.
"Oh a border punch!" I exclaimed. I used the Scallop Border punch. "Bling!" I exclaimed again. So I added rhinestones to some of the background snowflakes and the focus snowflake. That is a quick overview of how some of my creations come about. I used The Serene Snowflake stamp set and the final card is made on Bashful Blue card stock with layers of Perfect Plum and Confetti White. For a vintage look I smudged the card with Perfect Plum ink. Do your cards evolve or is your first card the final card. Just asking. I really do appreciate comments, so don't be shy. Have a blessed day. See you tomorrow.

Snow Man

Here I am again, welcoming you with open arms. My new friend gave me this gorgeous gift card. We met via Demonstrator Locatore. (sp) She is new in town and looked up Stampin' Up demos living in her area. She found me. She also is a demo and brings with her lots of great creative ideas. As you can see by the beauty of this gift card. When I saw how beautiful this paper is, I went to order it, but guess what? Too late. That beautiful Candy Cane designer paper is sold out. Sold out! I am bummed. So, let's admire this project and try not to drool. Enjoy. I also am so blessed to have Rose in my neighborhood. Stay tuned for more cards. Until next time. God bless.

Loads Of Love

Hello friends, This is my other favorite card. One can have more than one favorite card, right? This is known as a Z fold. For the card, I used Certainly Celery card stock. The layers are Bravo Burgundy, Very Vanilla and a retired designer paper. I love that Stampin' Up plans and designs all the papers and inks to coordinate with each other. The stamp set I used is that ever so popular Loads of Love. If you don't know that set, you should check it out. It is so versatile in that it can be used for various occasions and holidays. You can find it on page 73 of the catalog. It's one of those sets you never get rid of. That reminds me. One of these days I want to add a page to my blog of retired stamp sets for sale. So be on the look out for that. I hope it doesn't take me forever to do it. I hope you are enjoying my posts. I feel so good to be back with you. Thank you for visiting and come back again. Take care and God bless you and your family.

Winter Post

Hello friends, Sorry I haven't posted in almost 3 weeks. I guess I can say I've been out on medical. I have missed sharing with you. I thought of you often and wondered if any of you would still be interested in returning to my blog. I hope you are hanging in there with me. Thank you for your patience. Well, todays card is not showing it's true colors. This is my favorite card I made just before Thanksgiving. The card base is with Always Artichoke. Next is a layer of Very Vanilla cardstock. The other layers are Early Espresso and Crumb Cake. The poinsettia is from that gorgeous Deck the Halls designer paper everyone loves. It is so beautiful, I could just frame each sheet and hang it on my walls. The stamp set I used is Winter Post. Smudging the edges of the V. Vanilla cs and the Crumb Cake cs has given the card a vintage look. Don't you agree? In case you haven't noticed the Holiday Mini will be expiring Jan. 3rd, so if you need anything place your order as soon as possible. My store is open 24/7 and you can shop as you are. No one will see you are in your jammies. Feels good to be back with you. Take care and thank you for visiting.

Bells and Boughs

Welcome friends. Glad you could make it. This is my last Christmas card for 2010. I think.
Sarah gave me this card at our last swap meeting. She used Old Olive for the card. She used the Top Note die cut twice. She used Regal Rose and Whisper White card stock. The stamp set she used is Bells and Boughs from the Holiday Mini. You can see it on page 19. I own this set and didn't even get to use it. Oh well, maybe for Christmas in July. If you're wondering what she used to emboss the card, I can tell you. She used the Petals A Plenty embossing folder. I don't know if you can see the gold embossing on the image. It is very striking. I want to case this card. I know she won't mind. She went to kindergarten. I can explain but I'll save it for another time. Thank you for visiting. I've had a blessed 2010. I pray your 2011 will be filled with God's blessings. Have a happy New Year. See you again next week.

Season's Greetings

Hello friends, I hope your Christmas was full of joy and in the company of loved ones. Mine was.
Some of us were under the weather but as we were celebrating Jesus birthday, we didn't let that stop us from enjoying the day. I came across some cards I neglected to share with you.
I am sharing the card we made at our last group meeting. I love the color combination and the simplicity. Can you figure out how the card was made? I'll tell you the card is Night of Navy with a layer of Whisper White. The W. White was embossed with the Northern Flurry embossing folder. The stamp set is Scenic Season and the ink is Night of Navy. I really, really liked making this card. Stay tuned for the next share. Thank you for visiting.

Santa Clause

My next share is this cute Santa card given to me by Tonja at out last swap. She used the Jolly Old St. Nick stamp set (page 26) from the current Holiday Mini. Did you know you have until January 3, 2011 to order from this mini? Did you know you can shop in my Gloria Stamps store dressed as you are? Yep, even in your jammies. Did you know my store is an online store that never closes? Yep, it's open 24/7. I digress. Sorry. I just had to use the opportunity. LOL. Thank you for visiting and stay tuned for one more Christmas card. I like your visits. I like your comments too.

Dasher and Winter Post

Hello again, I'm so glad you are visiting again. I love your company. My family will be here in a couple days and I can hardly stand the waiting. I pray all of you will spend the next few days counting your blessings and enjoying the company of family and friends. Today I am sharing another stamp camp card. I think the deer are having a fun time playing in the snow. Do any of you have snow right now. We don't, but I hear rain is coming. Okay, Dasher is the one with the fancy antlers. Doesn't he look so proud? Almost standoffish! The other deer don't seem to care. The ink colors used for this card are versamark with white embossing powder; and Suede for the deer. I like the way Night of Navy paper looks with Whisper White paper. So striking. Just like a tuxedo. Where did that idea come from? Did you check out the fabulous deals I told you about yesterday? Deals like this don't happen often. Don't miss out. I love shopping sales! Guess what I pan for Friday? I will be back with more cards next week. Have a blessed rest of the week. Save me some pie. Stay warm and God bless.

Winter Post and Lovely as a Tree

Hello friends, Are you ready? I mean, are you ready for THE turkey dinner? The holidays are so exciting and full of expectations. For me, it's the family get together that is most precious. I can hardly wait. Especially since my children are not exactly next door. We count our blessings everyday and I hope you do too. God is good. He is with us in all things and I am so thankful. Now onto today's card. My class created four Christmas cards at last weeks stamp camp. For this card we used two stamp sets. Winter Post and Lovely as a Tree. The trees are stamped with versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The skaters are stamped using black Stazon. Some of the ladies stamped the skaters with Marina Mist ink. I like that they feel free to make changes where ever they want. In fact I encourage that, as I enjoy seeing their delight and I get to see a different way to create the same card. This was a fun card to make. No shopping list today. I have lots to do to get ready for our get together. In case you haven't heard, you should check out the fabulous deals Stampin' Up is having. For a limited time only. How about no shipping for Online orders of $150 or more. How about 50% 0ff on starter kits to become a demonstrator? If you choose to be on my team you will need my password. It is 'startup'. My Digital Studio is also 50% off. So hurry on over to my store and see what else is cooking. Oh, that reminds me I have stuff to do in the kitchen. Remember, you can shop as you are 24/7.

Friday, November 19, 2010

Sarah gave me this card. I watched her make it. Seeing the end result was a nice surprise. The stamp set is a level one hostess set. You can earn this stamp set by hosting a workshop in your home or mine. With a qualifying workshop of $150 net, any level one set can be yours. If you would rather just place an order for $150 you can earn a level one stamp set. To sweeten the deal you also earn an additional $15 in products. The paper colors are Not Quite Navy, Pumpkin Pie, and Basic Gray. You can see the Pumpkin card because she used a Heart punch and then placed another heart (in gray) along side it. I really like this layout. That's it for this week. Have a fun week end. Happy stamping and God bless.

This stamp set has been very popular within our group of demonstrators. Stay tuned for the next card given to me by another friend. Glad you could make it today. Take care and God bless.

Harvest Home

Greetings, glad you could make it over to visit. How was your week end? I did a craft show on Saturday. I and the vendors had a great time. The show was slow in getting started as we had four other craft shows going on in our area plus a parade. Then street construction going on right in front of our venue didn't help either. So we had a few hours of getting to know each other, exchanging business ideas and business cards. In spite of all the obstacles, we made the best of it and had a great day. Are you admiring the fall card I'm sharing today? This week I will be sharing the cards I prepared for my recent stamp camp. From my perspective, the card color is displayed slightly off. It is Soft Suede but looks greenish. Don't you agree? If you would like to duplicate this card, here is the shopping list.

French Foliage

Hello again. This is my version of a fall card. My ladies really enjoyed playing with the rock and roll with a twist technique. This card was inspired by Ilina Crouse. The technique calls for inking a stamp in your preferred color and then adding a different ink color with a dauber along the edges of your stamp. My card is more vibrant than it shows here. Oh well. The sentiment I used is from a retired stamp set I can't seem to part with. Try making a card like this. You'll enjoy the process. Here is the shopping list.

Stamp set: French Foliage #121166 $14.95 clear mount, #120845 $19.95 wood mount
Paper: Crumb Cake #120953 $6.95; Tangerine Tango #111349 $6.95; Very Vanilla #101650 $6.95
Ink: Old Olive #102277 $5.95; Pumpkin Pie #105216 $5.95; Cajun Craze #119671 $5.95; Soft Suede #115657 $5.95
No accessories

Thank you for looking. God bless.

Homegrown

Susie gave me this card but I had to make it for myself. I used Pumpkin Pie ink directly onto Whisper White card stock. Then spritz the stamp with Stampin Mist. Stamp the Pumpkin Pie card and the result is a bleached look. I enjoyed pouncing the ink pad onto the white card stock. Give this technique a try. I think you will enjoy it. I think you will like tomorrows card. So come on back. Thank you for visiting.

Builder Wheel card

Hello friends. Welcome back. Today you are looking at Mary's card. Yes, this was taken from the Holiday Mini. I am so glad she chose to do this card. So many of our guests had not yet experienced the builder wheels. Many were intimidated but took the plunge and did it. They were pleasantly surprised how easy it is to push those wheels and end with a beautiful card. The ink on the cartridge was black and then the images were colored in with an aqua painter brush using classic ink pads. Here is your shopping list.

Stamp Set: Builder wheels Little Cardinal, Little Christmas and Little Ornaments. $4.50 each
Paper: Real Red, Marine Mist, Garden Green $6.95 each; Watercolor paper $6.95
Ink: Black refill $2.95; Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Marine Mist $6.95 each
Accessories: jumbo wheel black cartridge $7.50; Aqua Brush $16.95; jumbo wheel handle $5.95; Big Shot $99.95; Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder $7.95; Red Grograin Ribbon $4.95

I'm still trying to figure out what happened to that pretty blue card that went missing. Has anyone seen it? I guess I will have to go back to the lab (camera) and see what I can do. I'll figure something out. So stay tuned. Have a blessed week end.

Hello friends, This is my display I had at the Hampton. I need to update it.
This is the other side of the room. We loved stamping at the Hampton Inn.
See the two little girls. They were our greeters, answered questions and took class fees. They were awesome and hard workers too. We plan to have more functions at the Hampton. We were treated very nicely. Thank you ladies at the lobby desk.

World Card Day October 2, 2010

Hello friends, thank you for stopping by. You are looking at a photo of our day at the Hampton Inn. It was a wonderful day. We met new ladies and rekindled old friendships. The cards we created were outstanding. I will show them to you over the next few days. We raffled a basket of Stamping goodies. The winner, Diane was so shocked she won and a very happy person once she realized it was all hers and she could take it all home. We donated stamping stuff, cards, toys and personal care items to children in Haiti. One of our gals was going to be going to Haiti as a ministry.

Here is our group-Inkyfingers. See all the smiles. I told you it was a wonderful day.

Because I Care

Hello friends, I'm showing another Stamp Camp card today. I had fun creating this card. The card stock is from the In Color collection. Concord Crush and Pear Pizzazz go so well together. I used Black Stazon Ink to stamp the hydrangea and then used the Perfect Plum marker to outline the petals and I picked up extra color with a blender pen to darken some of the petals. Of course using glossy white card stock made the entire coloring process go very easily. The stamp set is one you can choose from when you hostess a workshop and your net sales total $150. The Because I Care stamp set can be seen on page 11. Do you live in my area? I am willing to be your demonstrator when you book a workshop with me. I have a 100 mile radius I can drive to. Contact me and we can set the date. Stay tuned for the Christmas cards we made at the World Card Day event. Thank you for visiting. God bless you.

Friends Are Flowers That Never Fade

This is one of the Stamp Camp cards we made. I love this color combination so much, I used it again. The lay out is slightly different. This stamp set is becoming a favorite of mine. I really like all the embossing folders Stampin' Up sells. This one is called Perfect Polka Dots and is on page 214.

Birthday Owl

Hello stampers, Sorry for my absence. I've been super busy. My family celebrated birthdays two week ends in a row. I went to an apple festival. I held a stamp camp and I was a demonstrator at out World Card Day event. Plus I am currently involved in two bible studies. I'll share more over time. Today I want to show another owl card. I gave this one to fabulous son #2. This layout is similar to the other card I made for fabulous son #1. I used the same products as the previous card. I am having so much fun with the Owl punch. You can find it on page 201 of the Idea Book and Catalog 2010.

Owl In a Tree

I can't stop making owl cards. Here is another one. I placed the card in one of my artificial trees for the photo. It looks so cute hiding in the tree. Can you see that I used the scallop circle punch to make part of the tree for the owl. I have another card idea in my head right now. If the card idea works, I'll be sure to show it to you.

Voila

Hello. As you know the trend this week is a showing of cards with a flair of "blasts from the past". Voila was a stamp set that grew on me over time and then suddenly it was retired. I was so sad to see it go. I don't think I'm ready to let it go to MY retired list. I think I could sub a teddy bear for that cute chef in the same lay out. What do you think? Oh, now I need to order the Beary Best Friends stamp set (page 85). Do you see it? I think I might need everything on that page! So let's get us some Stampin' Up cardstock, Black Stazon ink, Scallop Trim Border punch, heart to Heart punch, pink ribbon and some markers. Let's get stampin'! Ready, Set, Go!!!

So good to have spent some time with you. See you soon and God bless you.

Vintage Vogue

Yea!!! Another Vintage Vogue card. I kinda/sorta challenged Irene to make this card for me. I gave her all the ingredients to use and she was done in about an hour. She didn't really ponder it to much. She just got to work. I think she enjoyed it and I think it turned out lovely. The retired chunky glitter was her own personal touch. I was so impressed with the end result. I guess the recipe should follow next. Here it goes.

Stamp set: Vintage Vogue
Paper: Whisper White #100730 $6.95; Green Galore, Gable Green, Pink Passion and Tea Party DSP (all retired)
Ink: Pink Passion (retired)
Accessories: Paper snips #103579 $9.95; 5 petal flower punch #119880 $16.95; chunky glitter retired

I love punches and I love the paper snips. A must have in my paper crafting. Have a blessed day. Hasta manana. Anyone know how to use the tilde? Please let me know in your comment.

Tote-ally Tess

Greetings and welcome. How was your week end? I had a great time beginning with Saturday when a very best friend came over just to hang out with me. We can be so serious and we can be so silly and corny. We compliment each other well. After she left my Mel came over for another blog class. Me, being the student. She is such a good friend. Always so willing to help. Sunday was church with another service that blessed me "to the max". Later, I had a delicious dinner with another best friend at Claim Jumpers. Ice cream sundays at Baskin Robbins topped off the evening for us. Do I venture to say how absolutely full we were at the end of the evening?!! Have you been admiring Tess in her beautiful outfit? She's looking good, right? I had fun creating this card. But I'm not crazy about my letters looking like one word. I seem to always see imperfections in my own work. I'm my own worst critic, I guess. I made this card this past June using retired inks and papers. They were some of my favorites. I love the color combo. The recipe for this card is as follows:

Stamp set: Tote-ally Tess
Paper: Whisper White #100730 $6.95; Pink Passion, Green Galore and Gable Green (retired)
Ink: Black Stazon #101406 $7.95; Pink Passion, Green Galore, Gable Green, Summer Sun, and Blush Blossom all retired
Accessories: Whisper White grograin ribbon #109025 $4.95; Aqua Painter brush #103954 $16.95; Big Shot #113439 $99.95; Textured embossing folder Petals A Plenty #116824 $7.95

Sorry, I can't seem to come with the name of the alphabet set. Thank you for visiting. Stay tuned for the next card.

Friends Are Flowers That Never Fade

Good morning friends, Guess what? Here I have another close up of the fourth card in the group. This card (as well as the others) can be redesigned according to your preference. For instance this card opens on the east side. You may "rearrange" it to open on the south side by turning it. Watching my ladies "do their own thing" with my designs has always impressed me. They are more creative than they think. As a teacher, I feel gratified to see them go out of the box. If you have any questions regarding the kit or any specific card, just ask. Have a blessed week end and I'll see you next week.

Thoughtful Friend (Builder Wheel)

Here I am again. I wanted to show you this card today as it is made with products from the Summer Mini. The Summer Mini is available untill Tuesday August 31 and no longer after midnight. So if you want to make this card and the one above, get your credit card ready and mosey on over to my online store. The ingredients are:
Stamp sets: Short & Sweet, Printed Petals
Paper: Whisper White, Concord Crush, In Color DSP
Ink: Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz reinkers and pads
accessories: stitched poly ribbon, scallop circle extra large punch, extra large circle punch, Big Shot, Elegant Lines embossing folder, Jumbo wheel handle, Builder wheel spindle and spacers, uninked triple wheel cell cartridge, Thoughtful Friend wheel, Posy Party wheel, Bees and Blossoms wheel
You can see the builder wheel products on pages 8-9 of the summer mini. They were so fun to use. After putting your wheel together, you do your wheeln' on a strip of white card stock and then punch out your circle. Simple as that. There's another video idea! I still haven't tried my hand at video taping. Yes, it's on my To Do list. Have a blessed day and see you manana.
