Stamp Camp Cards

Here, you see three cards I made at my uplines stamp camp. I had such a great time working alongside like minded ladies. I may not be back tomorrow as I will be working in my craft room creating (I hope). Have a blessed week end.

cards swaps

To continue my saga with my allergies, I had to postpone two classes this week. I am so blessed to have understanding ladies that attend my classes each month. The cards above were part of my last swap but I have a problem. I don't know who created them. They are cute huh?

I'm back

Hello friends, sorry for my absence. Remember that throbbing headache and chills, I mentioned almost two weeks ago? My Dr. told me I had a virus and was experiencing allergies also. After about three days, the virus went away but left the allergies behind. The situation was one of those events where it had to get worse before it got better. It did Easter week end. Needless to say my Easter week end was a quiet one for me. I had some family time but my energy was quite low. I am so much better now and almost 100%. I'll be back in a while to post some cards.

Happy Easter

Happy Saturday friends. This is another card share from the February swap. Melissa, my downline made this card. I love the color combo and it's simplicity. Nice work Melissa. Have a great day with your family tomorrow. It's Resurrection Sunday. Alleluia!

Friends

Good Morning friends. Today's share was created by Alicia. The stamp set is called The Nicest Things. This set is on my wish list and has been for quite awhile. Alicia's coloring turned out very nice. I hope you will be back tomorrow for another card share. Have a blessed day.

O. Blossom

Good morning friends. I knew Blogger was not its usual good self when I did my last post. Would you believe it decided to eliminate my closing sentence? How rude is that? It did flash me an error signal but I could not figure out the error. I don't know how that happened and I probably never will. If that has happened to you, would you be so, so kind and let me know what I did wrong. Enough of that. Today's share was made by Karen. She used the Ornate Blossom stamp set and embossed it in gold. Pretty huh? I am always so pleased with the swaps from my group. Well have a blessed day and I hope to see you tomorrow.

Lil' Girl

Good morning friends. How are you and how was your week end? I had a fun week end again. A friend, Donna and I went to the Poppy Festival on Saturday. The day was hot but comfortable. Probably 90 degrees. The food aromas were everywhere. Lots of people too. Everyone seemed so happy to be outdoors after such a long, unusual winter. We enjoyed delicious Pastrami sandwiches and ice cold tea for lunch. We listened to a wonderful band playing lots of Bobby Darrin music, including good old rock and roll. Lots of great dancers around this valley!! I purchased Welsh cakes (similar to scones) which I had Sunday morning with coffee and had to go for seconds (coffee too). Yummo! We spent a lot of time in the arts and crafts section. Unbelievable stuff. People are so creative. Now I want to be a basket weaver, a jewelery maker, a wood carver, and would love to repurpose anything and everything. We were having dinner around 6:PM enjoying ourselves with stories about school. Nearby, a lady was laughing and looking at us. She could hear us. Oh my!!! We invited her to join us - she is also a teacher. after introducing ourselves to each other we continued visiting for THREE HOURS. The three of us plan on meeting again later this week. Yea!!! A new friend. What a day!! A fun day!!

Sunday was church in the morning. In the afternoon I attended a concert at my friend Mako's church. It was beautiful. The choir sang beautifully. The bell choir was outstanding and the organist was more than outstanding. I did not want the concert to end. Of course a reception with refreshments followed afterwards. At my church we call it Calvary Calories. It's an in joke. The name of my church is Calvary Chapel. Get it? Thank you for letting me share my week end with you.

I'm not leaving just yet. I want to share about my card. This is the card I made at a scrapbook store not far from here. I did make some changes to include something Stampin' Up. The butterflies. The teacher at the class had pennants going across the circle. I thought Beautiful Butterflies were more springy and went better with the lil' girl's hat and dress. This was my first time with Copics. The gray color hardly even shows in this photo. Maybe I just need more practice with the Copics. I don't own any so I guess I won't practice. It's been fun sharing with you. Come back tomorrow. I really do like and appreciate your comments. God bless you.

Brown Box

Welcome friends, you may have noticed (or maybe not) I disappeared for a few days. I had to make an out of town trip suddenly. Not an emergency though. I like when I get surprises like this one when I get home. Inside is a lil' bit of Occasions and a lil' bit of Summer mini. I gave in and ordered more great Stampin' Up products but only made a small dent on my wish list. Why is it that with every new mini, I want everything? I still have more I want from the main catalog too. Just had to share my excitement. Notice my hydrangea? It has a nice start huh? I will take a pic and share when they bloom. I really appreciate comments. Come on back and visit again. God bless you.

Flower Power

Welcome friends, I had a fun, fun week end. How about you? Saturday my grand daughter and I went to a Quinceanera. My niece's daughter was celebrating her fifteenth birthday. It started with a church service where she dedicated the rest of her life to walking with our Lord and serving Him. A reception followed where we enjoyed live music and delicious food. A scrapbook of photos and of her fifteen years circulated where we were invited to journal our sentiments to her. Afterwards we were treated to videos of her fifteen years. A second video followed of her and her Court of Honor having fun at the beach, at the park, at school and just being teens. Very enjoyable. By evening, every one was dancing to lively music provided by a DJ. What a day it was. Very exciting.

Now on to today's card share. Some of you may remember the retired Simply Scrappin' kit Flower Power. I finally put it together. That was so fun and easy to do. Would you believe all of the card stock and inks are still current as well as the stamp set Wow Flowers. My personal touch was the use of the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch. Try saying that three times. I made three of each of those cards. I packaged them with envelopes and gifted them to my niece. My grand daughter gifted her a purity ring. So Sweet. Thank you for stopping by today. See you tomorrow. Be blessed.

Birthday Wishes

Hello friends, My camera and computer have settled their differences, I think. Actually my grand daughter made them work it out. If you ask me, all I can say is, "I don't know what the problem was". So now I can show you the two birthday cards I made this week. One is going to my brother and the other to my brother in law. My grand daughter used Pic Nic to adjust the colors as my photo was too washed out. Here is the shopping list:

Stamp sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes; Simply Said; Razzle Dazzle
Paper: Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Marina Mist
Ink: Marina Mist
Accessories: Modern Label punch, Word Window punch, Silver brads, 1 1/4 punch and 1 3/8 punch, scalloped oval punch, #42 oval punch

I forgot to take a photo of the inside, sorry. I stamped the inside with flowers from the Simply Said stamp set on Whisper White card stock. I have a hard time designing masculine cards. My stamp supply is limited for making manly cards. What stamp sets do you use for men cards? That info would really help me for my next wish list. Thank you for stopping by. Have a blessed week end. See you next week.

Hello friends, I have no cards to share today. Actually , this is what happened or rather did not happen. I wanted to share the two cards I made day before yesterday BUT my camera and my computer were not cooperating with each other. None of my photos were coming up. I tried and tried. So what did I do? I went shopping. So I proved that when the going gets tuff the tuff go shopping. I bought a pretty, pink summer blouse. What do you do when life get tuff? Hopefully I will figure out why my camera and PC are having a rift. I may be back in a while or maybe tomorrow. I will keep you posted. See you later. Thank you for stopping by.
