Long Fellow

Wow, I finally have a few minute to visit with you. Welcome and thank you for being here. Today I have a clean and simple card to share. I was looking for a stamp set to use with children and thought this one would fill the bill. The card base is Basic Gray and layered with Whisper White card stock and includes a layer of Baja Breeze. I used the Polka Dot embossing folder on that layer and ran it through the Big Shot. I inked the stamp with Basic Black. The stamp set is titled Long Fellows. Go to pages 10-11 to see what your other choices are for a free level one Stampin' Up products. Long Fellows is one of the choices that can be earned with a workshop or purchase of $150 (net). So now is when I take the opportunity to remind you that if you wish to place an order you may do so at my online store, "Gloria Stamps" which can be found on the left side bar. It's open 24/7 and you can shop as you are. I hope you enjoyed your visit with me today. Please come back tomorrow.

Candy Wrap and Envelope Treat Holder

Welcome friends, Today you get two for one. I created this card share as a gift item. I forgot the ribbon on the candy wrap. Imagine how much prettier it looked with the red satin ribbon wrapped around it (after the photo). I crimped the bottom edge of the wrap with - what else other than the paper crimper. The birthday card is actually a sealed envelope. I then used the Tulip frame embossing folder and the Big Shot to create a cute birthday card. I used the Punch Bunch stamp set from Sale A Brations to finish the card. I love that this stamp set was not only free but is also versatile and can be used with various Stampin' Up punches. Now that I have talked up this stamp set, I'm sorry to tell you it is no longer available. It went off the market when Sale A Brations ended March 31, 2011. Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you again tomorrow. God bless you. Oh, Soles for Souls ends April 10th at Sports Chalet (you may donate shoes) and World Vision is also taking donations for Japan. Please pray for the people in Japan.

Get Well Cards

Welcome friends, How are you? Did you have a fun week end? I did. I had four wonderful, fun days with my son and the family. My grand daughter turned six! I volunteered in her class on Friday. Oh my, was that ever fun! I admire her teacher so much. Only (huh?) 24 students. The students have made huge progress from the last time I was there ( and I thought they were doing so well already back then). Academia has changed so much since I retired and I've only been out of the classroom five years. My DIL parents had a dinner party for my DGD. Her aunts, uncles and cousins were there to help celebrate. The weather was so nice we sat outside and enjoyed watching the children go through their antics. They get along so well and truly enjoy each other. We continued to celebrate Saturday with lunch at Red Robin and a movie. We watched HOP. Not biblical but it was for the kids. I always "gift" books. One of the books was on Christ's resurrection. My grand daughter is very smart (I really mean it too). So she knows it was just a movie (etc) and the story in the book is the true story of Easter. She also knows it is really Resurrection Sunday not Easter.

On the way home I stopped by to visit my step mom. She is doing so well for being only eighty eight years old. I had a chance to also visit with my half sister. I really do not like saying step nor half. It just does not sound right. Anyway, we had a great time catching up. My step mom loved here set of note cards and we each enjoyed our visit together.

Thank you for visiting with me and listening/reading about my family. I know your real purpose is to see my cards. At least that's what I think. (smile). Remember the 3X3 cards I made about a week ago? I have remade (repurposed?) them by cutting the fronts off and adhering them to a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card. What do you think? I'm not so sure about the color combos I chose. One card is on Basic Gray and the other is on So Saffron. Well, they are already in the mail so I can't make any changes now. I hope you are able to stop by again tomorrow. Gracias por sus visita y nos vemos manana. Que Dios los bendiga. We will talk tomorrow.

Medallion Birthday card

Hello, today I'm sharing the birthday card for my step mom. I'm considering using this layout for my next class in April. I'm happy for fixing the postings of the other day. Now I need to see what I need to do to make my blog page hold 25 postings. I've enjoyed our visit and hope to see you again next week. God bless you and your family.

Please pray for the people in Japan.

Medallion Envelopes

Here are the envelopes. I stamped the bottom right of the envie and the top left. I wanted to share the birthday card I created with you for my step mom but couldn't get good lighting for the photo shoot. I'll try again in the afternoon. Happy stamping and thank you for stopping by again.

PS. I'm trying to fix the problem with the posting and publishing.

Inside Medallion cards

Welcome, I'm back finishing yesterdays share. First I have to say how frustrated I am with Blogger. I changed the setting yesterday for this page to show the last 25 postings. I also scheduled the Medallion cards to have posted today Monday 28. Neither has occurred. So I don't know what will happen today. Today's posting is supposed to publish on Tuesday 3/29. We will see what happens.

Today my card share is the inside of the Medallion cards. I used the Notes and Details stamp set featured in the Occasions mini. I used the paper snips to keep the cards open for your viewing. I highly recommend these scissors. They are the best for detailed cutting. Just saying. Next is the envelopes.

Medallion 2

Here are the other three cards to a set of six. I made the set for my step mother who celebrated her 88th birthday about three weeks ago. I don't remember if I told you why I wasn't able to attend her party. A snow storm had been announced and staying home was being recommended. I had planned on going if it was only rain. My bottom line decision was the fact that I had a very sleepless night and did not want to chance the three hour drive on so little sleep as indeed it did snow. I get to see her later this week and will be able to hand deliver the cards. Tomorrow I'll show you the inside of the cards and the envelopes. Thank you for stopping by. Has anyone told you that Sale A Brations is about to end? Please don't let time get away from you. The promotion ends at midnight March 31. Place your order at my online store "Gloria Stamps'. It's open 24/7. Shop as you are. Thank you for stopping by. See you manana.
God bless you.

Medallion 1

Good morning friends. It's Marvelous Monday. How was your week end? Saturday I went to a scrapbook store about 40 minutes from here. I had a blast learning new about new products and creating a make and take for free. I'll show you that card later on. This evening I went to the annual talent show at my church. It was so much fun and a night to remember. People of all ages participated. From four years old to senior citizens. Everyone was outstanding. Talents featured were group singers, solo singers, acappella singers, and a father and his five children playing their various musical instruments while pretending to be a crazy rock band. They were hilarious. There were singers singing in Spanish too. The show ended with a father and son duo who did some pretty fancy juggling. What was so clever about their act was the dialog between them. They were very entertaining and managed to incorporate the characteristics of God in their dialog. So this evening church was in an entirely different mode and everyone had a great time. Just another way to get to know each other.
Today my card shares are these cards which are part of a set of six. I used the same stamp set on all six cards. For a little variety, I moved the lay out around a little bit and also with the inks. Try to notice what changes I made. I'm interested to know if you can detect the slight changes. I used the Medallion stamp set and the Great Friend set for the message. The card is River Rock card stock and Natural White for the top layer. The Scallop Trim border punch is used on Old Olive card stock. Next I'll show you the other three cards.

My Cards

Here are just four of them. I love Suzy Zoo. So Joanne gave me Suzy Zoo. Evelyn gave me the lil' girl because I like anything that depicts children. Jacqueline gave me the desert scene because I like flowers and anything pretty. My family gave me balloons to celebrate with because that's what our family likes to do - celebrate any and all occasions. Gives us more reasons to be together and of course have great food. I love my family and my friends. I am so blessed with so many special people in my life. Thank you Jesus.

I'd like to mention that Sports Chalet is collecting "Soles for Souls". I found ten pairs in my closet. The shoes will be sent to the people in Japan. I think April 7 is the last day to take your shoes over to them. Have a very blessed week end and I'll see you next week. Thank you for your visits and for your comments.

My Flowers

Hello everyone, I just had to share with you my beautiful flowers! I have been celebrating! My family and friends have been celebrating with me! What's to celebrate? Why my birthday of course! Everyone has made me feel so loved and special. I've been taken out for lunches and for dinners ... Panera Bread, Olive Garden, Red Lobster and cake each time. I'm looking more rounder. Ugh. My grand daughter cooked a complete dinner for me and the rest of the family. It was delicious. She can cook!! Want to see some of my cards? Okay, good.

Punch Bunch - Owls

Yea! I'm so happy to be back with you. I have been very, very busy this week. I've seen three doctors, been to three different banks (inquiring, depositing, confirming and depositing), and paid off my car. I've liquidated a particular fund, applied for dental/vision insurance and packed my suitcase to go stay with my son and the family. I went to see my grand daughter perform in a school play. Guess who was the proudest grandma in the audience? Yes, I know all the grandparents were claiming the same. I really do believe I was the proudest. Okay, humor me. Oh, I also was able to fit in my Zumba class before leaving. You think I could have squeezed in my blog post in my spare time, huh? So sorry, so sad. Well, I'm here to share and show you this really cute card. At least that's what my ladies called it. They absolutely loved it and were so excited to make it. I had a feeling they could have stamped a few hours longer but the church needed that room for the next function. So we hurried up to make it. Do you think this card is cute? Too cute huh? I've had lots of chocolate cake (my birthday) these last two days and I'm having a difficult time calming down. So you get to share in my energy high. In the mean time, my doggie is looking sadly at me. He thinks I should feed him. So I will, but let me leave you with the shopping list for the cutest card ever.

Stamp set: Punch Bunch
Paper: Rose Red, Marina Mist
Ink: Rose Red. Marina Mist,

We had a fabulous time. Now I'm home again and craving chocolate. I guess my Eat Chocolate stamp set will have to do. I'm so silly! Thank you very, very much for visiting. I appreciate you very much, especially your very kind comments. See you next week. God bless you. Please pray for the people in Japan.

Great Friend

Good morning friends. Here we are again visiting over a hot cup of coffee. I'm having Orange cranberry bread with my coffee. None caloric of course. What are you having? I sure enjoy your visits. Today I'm sharing another one of the cards my guests made at the recent stamp camp.
The ladies became very comfortable with redesigning this card. They loved using the punches.
and were in awe of the Big Shot. I loved it! I always keep my camera with me. So I took photos of their redesigned cards. They came with their cameras too. I took my display board with me and there was always one of the ladies taking pictures of my cards. That was a rewarding feeling for me. Well, you might be waiting for the shopping list. So here it is.

Eastern Blooms

Welcome friends. Isn't this a Marvelous Monday? We have a warm sunny day out here in sunny southern California. I had a great week end. Friday afternoon I did a stamp camp for eight Japanese ladies at their church. When I arrived, a lady was there that I thought was going to be one of the guests. She was a reporter from a television network. As you know, that morning (my time) the earthquake and tsunami had hit Japan. I was still up at 1:00 AM and stayed up for another few hours watching and praying for the people as it occurred. These ladies stayed strong through the interview. The reporter stayed to video tape during their prayer time and continued to be strong. The transition to stamping went very smoothly. They were shy and quiet in the beginning. Soon they were feeling creative and really getting into the process of stamping. We all had a great time. Each of them left feeling happy and exclaiming, "Call me for the next time or I want to come to your house". I certainly will call them. Today's card share is one of the cards they made. The shopping list is next.

Stamp set: Eastern Blooms,Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Garden Green, Woodland Walk DSP
Ink: Early Espresso
Accessories: Tiny flower punch, Modern Label punch, Word Window punch, Scallop Border punch, glue, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Dimensionals

Thank you for visiting. I appreciate your comments. See you tomorrow. God bless you.

6x6 scrap page

This 6x6 scrap book page was the next make and take. I kinda, sorta used the same template with the same stamp set, inks and the same white cardstock. The other paper is retired (meaning not available for purchase). For me, in my head, not retired yet until I use up all those products. I must use it up! Some day I may surprise you with a retired stamp set sale. Thank you for visiting today. I hope blogger and I will be getting along better today. I'm praying my posting for today is published the way I want it to be published. I will see you again next week. Thank you for visiting and God bless you.

Get Well

I will continue to share with you how I them showed the guests how easy it is to use the same stamp set but with just a few changes.

Sweet Summer

Good morning everyone. Sorry I didn't post yesterday. Blogger was not cooperating with me. Today my card share is this Sweet Summer card found in the Sale a Brations mini (page 9). This was one of the make and takes at my recent workshop. They loved it. So you see, the mini was used for shopping purposes and for inspiration. Just a lil' reminder, the Sale a Brations mini has all the free products you can choose from for each $50 purchase you place. Example: A $150 (net) purchase and you qualify for three free products from the mini. To sweeten your purchase of $150, you earn a free level one stamp set from the catalog as well. See page 9 in the catalog for more benefits information. My online store continues to stay open 24/7 for your shopping convenience. The shopping list follows.

What do you do?

Good morning and welcome to Marvelous Monday. How was your week end? I did a workshop for a friend on Saturday. We had so much fun. I got to reconnect with another friend I had not seen in years. We used to teach together. So it was fun to see her again and to catch up with family news. I very much enjoy doing workshops. This is where I get to meet and make new friends. I can do workshops in your home or in my home for you too. So if you live in my area send me an email and we will make the arrangements. Today my share is Not a card. I'm talking about one my obsessions. When something looks and feels messy I just know there has to be a better way. I did not like the feel nor the look of my stamp sets when they looked like the set on the left. Too messy! So some of my sets are just thrown in the box. I don't know exactly when I discovered putting them back together like a puzzle would make me happier. You can see an example on the right side of the photo. Now I can spot each stamp and I also am able to notice if one is missing. So If you are like me, that's my tip for today. Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you again tomorrow. Comments are welcomed and appreciated. Have a marvelous Monday. God bless you.

Fabulous Friend

Welcome friends. This is a card I discovered in my collection. I made it in January at my upline's house. Can you believe I have not purchased this stamp set nor the punch which punches out those petals and leaves perfectly. No scissors needed. Both are on my oh so long wish list. If you don't have it yet, you can find both these items in the Occasions mini. The Occasions mini expires April 30th. If you don't have a copy of the mini you may email me for a copy. I can also send you the Sale a Brations mini. Or you may view both on the side bar of this page. Well I want to wish you a fun week end. See you next Monday. God bless you and your family.

Sweet Summer

Welcome friends to Wonderful Wednesday. Today I am sharing my card that did double duty. I used it for stamp camp and for a swap. It was fun and easy to create. Notice my creative coloring? Well, okay 'lazy coloring'. What can I say? I was tired, in a hurry, overwhelmed, on a time crunch, etc. etc. How about I wanted to color it that way? Okay, whatever. It doesn't matter. I think? I must remind you about Sale a Brations. This is the way it works: for every $50 net purchase you are eligible to choose any free product from the Sale a Brations mini. That includes any of the stamp sets listed on the very last page of the mini. As you may know, you may place your order at my online store (no need to dress up). My store, Gloria Stamps is open 24/7 and the shopping list is:

Hello friends. I had a fun day today. Half my day was on the phone with various business phone calls and the other half of the day I was running (not literally) around town taking care of other various business issues. So I may have already used up my word quota for the day. LOL. Therefore, I will give you the shopping list for today's card share. Almost everything is from the Occasions Mini.

Stamp set: Eat Chocolate
Paper: Melon Mambo, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Melon Mambo
Accessories: Polka Dot embossing folder, Big Shot, 1 1/4 Early Espresso grograin ribbon, red sticky strip adhesive, glue dot, Big Designer Button, Dimensionals, Decorative Label punch, Melon Mambo Pom Pom Trim

I like the way the card turned out and so did my stamp camp ladies. A great big thank you to Penny H. for inspiring me with her card. You can see her card on SCS. I will see you here tomorrow right? I do like comments. God bless you and thank you for visiting. Hasta manana.
